Udostępniłem kernele w wersji v44.5 Premium i Standard oparte na źródłach Linux-4.4.5. Poza zmianami w źródłach kernela - o czym można się dowiedzieć studiując ten link - git.kernel.org, dodatkowe zmiany - ponad to co już wskazywałem przy okazji informacji nt. kerneli v44.4, zaaplikowałem do kernela m.in. patch aktywujący działania zestawu klawiszy specjalnych fn + f2 [WiFi/Bluetooth - On/Off] oraz użyłem nowszej wersji gcc (eXt73-build_v12.3) 5.3.1 20160308.
Standardowo zatem wyłączamy wsparcie DMA remapping dla układu Intel HD ... ale zawsze można go włączyć poprzez zaznaczenie wskazanej powyżej opcji. Tu jednak UWAGA ! jeśli układ ma z remapowaniem DMA problemy to skutkować to będzie ciągłym zawieszaniem się i resetowaniem sterownika układu, co w skrajnym przypadku uniemożliwi jakąkolwiek aktywność na desktopie który korzysta ze wsparcie 3D np. Unity/KDE/etc. W takiej sytuacji należy zrestartować maszynę, uruchomić ze starszego kernela i odznaczyć opcję intel_iommu=igfx_off w naszym generatorze ustawień GRUB.
Zatem na start dostajecie wersje bezpieczną i zapewniając na układach Intela odczulanie wyższą wydajność - w szczególności z laptopami dysponującymi układami Nvidia Optimus oraz w pracy z maszynami wirtualnymi - tu minimalny wzrost wydajności np w grach - to 2-6 % ... a zostawiamy Wam "furtkę" do eksperymentów ;)

The kernel of this line have the first time in a long time activated full IOMMU for Intel processors. Here, however, in some cases there are problems with the "graphics" - but there's an option in our generator GRUB:
As standard, therefore, we turn off the DMA remapping support for the Intel HD ... but you can always turn it on by selecting the options indicated above. But here ATTENTION ! if the system has with the DMA remapping problems, then that this will result in a continuous freezing and reset the GPU, which in the worst case prevent any activity on the desktop that uses the 3D support, eg. Unity / KDE / etc. In this situation, restart the machine to run an older kernel and uncheck intel_iommu = igfx_off in our GRUB set generator.
